San Mateo Library Workshop

California Writers Club, San Francisco Peninsula Branch, has been asked to form a monthly writers group at the San Mateo Public Library

Our members will take turns teaching other writers some of the necessary skills of the craft.

It will be held on the 2nd Wednesday night of the month, from 7-9 p.m.

Why and How to Write Your Memoir

The process of sifting through the pivotal events of your life to shape them into a cohesive narrative is transformational – you discover both positive and negative things about yourself that might otherwise take years of therapy. In seven steps, Evelyn LaTorre of Fremont Area Writers outlines how to end up with a valuable resource for yourself, your family, and maybe the world. She will include a lists of resources as well as her own experience in writing two memoirs: Between Inca Walls, A Peace Corps Memoir (available, August 11, 2020) and Starting From Scratch (available Fall, 2021), both published by She Writes Press.

FREE event – please save the link to join.

Join your writing peers as they lead workshops on the techniques of writing. This is part of a series of events organized by the CWC SF Peninsula.
